Heidegger(1889 - 1976) Heidegger was born in a small town in the Black Forest. He received his education from the Jesuits. He studied theology in Freiburg and here he studied the works of Aristotle, Husserl, Nietzsche, Dilthey and Kierkegaard. He gave lectures in Freiburg. In 1923 he went to Marburg. In 1927 his major work Sein und Zeit appeared and in 1928 he received the former professorial chair of Husserl. In 1933 he joins the NSDAP and a few months later he becomes the rector of the University of Freiburg. Beitrage zur Philosophie. Vom Ereignis was his second important work. It was published in 1989 (after his death). |
